Chaplains Corner

Good morning riders! I just wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself to those of you who don’t know who I am. My name is Erik Schmitz and I am the AMVETS Riders State Chaplain, I am a US Navy Veteran and a rider of Chapter 44 in Plant City. I have some very big shoes to fill with this position thanks to our previous Chaplain Heather Stretar whom we almost all know and loved as our state chaplain. I was asked to take this position this past year when Heather stepped down and I am honored to do so. At this time I am asking for the support of all the AMVETS Riders to help get the word out that I am here and willing to help in any way I can be it prayers, cards, a hug, or even a shoulder to cry on if needed. My phone is always on and my email checked frequently (text messages get the fastest responses though) I ask that you please let me know any good and welfare information from your posts so the word can be passed along and prayers can be made good bad or anything in between, we don’t always have to have bad news we can always praise in the glory of the good stuff as well. Thanks for taking the time to read this post and helping get my name out to our members. God bless you all and have a wonderful week
